For the Audi A1 campaign “Admired – Heartbeat Run,” an integrated platform was delivered connecting a TV commercial, a Shazam-based entry point, and a location-based activation. Users could Shazam the ad, enter a mobile experience, and follow real-time clues to locate one of five Audi A1 vehicles distributed across Germany.
My role as DevOps Engineer focused on platform operations, scalability, and reliability. The system ran on virtual Windows servers. The key challenge was handling unpredictable traffic spikes triggered by the TV campaign. Load distribution was therefore designed early at the load balancer level to absorb and balance peaks proactively. The platform remained stable under real-world conditions and provided the technical backbone for the campaign.
